Services for Albert L. Lichtenberg, 81, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Joe Beal and Mike Elliott officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Lichtenberg died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home.
A U.S. Army veteran, he retired from the Paducah Board of Education as custodian at Paducah Tilghman High School. Mr. Lichtenberg was a member of Northside United Methodist Church and ran the White Owl Bar-B-Que on South 4th Street for several years.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Allie Dean Barker Lichtenberg; one daughter, Carolyn Spicer and husband, Donald, of La Center; one son, Joseph Lee Lichtenberg and wife, Connie, of Louisville; two grandchildren, Brant Berry and fianceé, Rachael Fullard, and Angie Woods and husband, Steven; one great-grandchild, Brooke Berry; three stepgrandchildren, Donald, David and Micah Spicer; four step-great-grandchildren, Austin, Abby, Cole and Daly Spicer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Albert L. Licthenberg Jr.; one daughter, Judy Lichtenberg; one sister, Annie Lichtenberg; and six brothers, Robert, Richard, Walter, Ernie, Johnny and Buster Lichtenberg. His parents were Richard S. and Annie Marie Elsinger Lichtenberg.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the funeral home.
