Bertie Elois Horn, 87, of Paducah died at 5:57 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Lourdes hospital.
A native of Paducah, Mrs. Horn was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Mission Worship Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Elois Followell and husband Robert of Lake Placid, Fla.; four sons, Alton A. Horn Jr. and wife Shirley of Houston, Texas, Bobby L. Horn and wife Sherry and Lindsey A. Horn, all of Paducah, Willie J. Horn and wife Virginia of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, Deana L. Sakes, Alton Horn III, Danny Horn, Deborah Ward, Lindsey Horn Jr., Dillon Followell, Amanda Followell, Bruce Horn, Delbert Horn, Adam Horn and Bobby Horn; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton A. Horn; four sisters; and one grandson, Willie "Joey" Horn. Her parents were Bertie A. and Gertrude Wilhite Merritt.
Funeral services for Mrs. Horn will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Revs. John Offutt and Terry Henderson will officiate. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lindsey A. Horn Jr., Dillon Followell, Bruce Horn, Delbert Horn, Bobby Horn and Peter A. Zakes.
