Bessie Mae Crenshaw Stewart, 76, of Paducah died at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.
She was a member of Heartland Worship Center (Bible Baptist) for 48 years and a sales clerk for over 20 years with Payless Drugs in downtown Paducah.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by two daughters, Belinda McManus and husband Tommy and Tyanna Austin and husband Bruce, all of Paducah; four grandchildren, Cory McManus of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Lindsey Jones of Paducah, Brandon Austin of Lexington, Ky., and MacKensie Austin of Paducah; one great-grandchild, Allie Jones of Paducah; five sisters, Jean Parker and husband Jim of Paducah, Patsy Parker and husband Bill of Paducah, Dorothy Jones and husband Lee of Smithland, Charlene Lindsey and husband Robert of Paducah and Gail Rothrock and husband Tommy of Kevil; eight brothers, J.B. Crenshaw and wife Gayle of West Paducah, Richard Crenshaw and wife LaRue of Paducah, Bennie Crenshaw and wife Sue of Paducah, Jimmy Crenshaw and wife Irene of West Paducah, Ronnie Crenshaw and wife Rita of Paducah and Ricky Crenshaw and wife Elaine of Paducah; and 27 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stewart; one son, Gerald Lynn Leigh; two brothers, Jackie Crenshaw and Billie Crenshaw. Her parents were Carlos W. and Lovie Mae Madding Crenshaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Johnny Sams and Don Young officiating. Entombment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
