Betty Louise Greif, 72, of Paducah passed away at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Greif was a retired bookkeeper for Ladd Floorcovering and a member of Elco Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and the Paducah Police Women's Auxiliary; as well as a racetrack promoter for the James D. Greif Annual Memorial Flat Track Motorcycle Race at Carson Park.

Surviving are one son, Robert Allen Greif of Barlow; one daughter, Lori Renee Hite of Benton; one brother, Johnny Lee Clapp of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; one sister, Edith Mae Frensley of Paducah; and grandchildren Joshua Allen Greif, Timothy James Greif and Kinsey Renee Hite; as well as goddaughter, Leslie Victoria Waybark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Nellie Mae Clapp; her husband, James David Greif; three brothers, Robert House, Herman Ladd and Wilford Ladd; and one sister, Frances Ladd.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with burial at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
