Betty Curtis Sheets, 87, passed away at 7:59 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2009, at her home.
She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, Co-Founder of Curtis & Mays Studio and retired from Curtis Color Lab. She loved her animals, playing bridge and golf.
Mrs. Sheets is survived by a daughter, Vicki Sheets Nation and husband Paris of Belleville, Ill.; a son, Robert "Dick" Sheets Jr. and wife Paula Marquey Sheets of New Albany, Ind.; a grandchild, Esther Noel Sheets; and a brother, James A. Curtis of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Dick" Sheets Sr.; a sister, Imogene Curtis Igert; and a brother, Edward E. Curtis. Her parents were E. Earl and Beulah Stroman Curtis.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, January 12, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. David Comperry officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the service time of noon Tuesday, January 12, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Dr., Paducah, KY 42003.
