BETTY'S OBITUARY

Mrs. Betty Jo (Nee: Raines) Spooner of Warrenton, MO, passed away in her home, Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was born January 4, 1926 in Bowie TX, to Leonard Calvin and Myrtle Edith (Nee: Dumas) Raines. She had reached the age of 96 years.

Betty Jo married the love of her life, Robert Owen Spooner, August 25, 1945 and were together for 73 years before his passing. To this union, 4 children, Anita, Margaret, Linda and Sallie were born. Betty Jo was a very active member of The First Baptist Church in St. Charles for many years. She enjoyed working with the children's church, teaching Sunday school classes on a regular basis. She also volunteered her time working the election board polls. She loved to cook, bake and sew for her family. Betty Jo was very involved with all of her families events and loved them all very much. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and "Grammie".

Betty Jo Spooner was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Myrtle; husband, Robert; daughter, Linda Sue Ayers; sister, Anita Colleen Mason; brother, John Thomas Raines. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Irene Henderson and husband Melvin, Margaret Eileen Fink and husband Russell, Sallie Ann Feldewert and husband Steven; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many other friends and family.
