Bryan Stewart, Jr. 91, of Paducah, died Thursday at 6:05pm at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Bryan was born in Paducah on July 10, 1923 to the late Bryan Stewart, Sr. and Esther Beyer
Stewart. He served in the Marine Corp during World War II and retired after 40 years as Chief
Clerk Illinois Central Railroad. He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church,
where he served as Treasurer of the Methodist Men's Fellowship. Bryan was an avid St. Louis
Cardinals and University of Kentucky Wildcats fan.
Surviving are his son, Bryan E. Stewart and wife Inda of Paducah; step son, John C. Farley IV and
wife, Sue of Nashville; sister, Edna Pell of Paducah; grandchildren, Bryan Keith Stewart, Robert
Stewart, Todd Stewart and wife Amber, Curt Stewart, and Emi Stewart Midkiff and husband Cory,
Beth Farley Harter and husband Bobby, and John C. Farley V and wife Sarah; and greatgrandchildren,
Savanna Stewart, Hayden Stewart, Audrey Haley, Gracie Stewart, Joey Harter,
Nikki Harter, Cason Farley and Linden Farley.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Gracie Amis Stewart; second wife, Mildred Cooper
Farley Stewart; sister, Anna Louise Stewart; brother, Charles Eugene Stewart; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Revs.
Jerry Jeffords and Susan Engle officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11am Monday at the funeral home.
