Carolyn Crittendon

METROPOLIS, Ill. - Carolyn Sue Crittendon, 68, of Metropolis, Ill., formerly of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 4 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at her residence.

She was a native of Paducah, Ky. Carolyn was a retired Private Sitter and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Louise Adams and husband Kenneth of Bardwell, Ky., and Candy Miller and husband Danny of Metropolis, Ill.; sons, Dwayne Crittendon and wife Tammy of Hardin, Ky., Lynn Crittendon and wife Yvette of Hardin, Ky., Tim Crittendon of Hardin, Ky., and Mark Crittendon and wife Trish of Graves County, Ky.; sister, Wanda Neblett of Florida; brother, Bobby Mathis of Benton, Ky.; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Crittendon; daughter, Magel Gore; two sisters, Norma Graves and Lois Gower; brother, Charles Mathis. Her parents were Oscar Lee Mathis and Linnie Marie Waters Mathis.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jeff Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
