Charlene R. Champion Wallace, 77, of Paducah died at 10:42 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at Western Baptisit Hospital in Paducah. Mrs. Wallace was born on December 24, 1931, in Charleston, Mo. She was co-owner and bookkeeper of J.W. Wallace Acoustics in Paducah. She was a graduate of Bandana High School and Draughon's Business College in Paducah. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, J.W. Wallace (and they would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary on May 15, 2009); one son, Barry Wallace and wife Melissa of Paducah; two grandchildren, Jason Wallace and Amanda Wallace, both of Paducah; and one brother, Bob Champion of Kevil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Mary Lettie Holly Champion, and three brothers, Charles Fredrick Champion, L.C. Champion and W.T. Champion.
Services for Mrs. Wallace will be at 1 p.m. today, January 3, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Tommy Tucker and the Rev. Skip Parsons will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation was held at 5 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
