Charles Earl Elrod, 79, of Paducah died at 8 p.m. Thursday at his home.
Mr. Elrod was a member of Reidland Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon. He was a retired route salesman with Colonial Bakers with 35 years of service and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Surviving are four daughters, Lisa G. Elrod of Reidland, Pamela Lynn McNeil of Boaz, Lori Kursave of Paducah and Lea Ann Casper of Tampa, Fla.; five sisters, Edith Carper of Benton, Elizabeth Price of Talbott, Tenn., Bertha Finch of Reidland, Ruby Starks of Benton and June Wyatt of Hardin; two brothers, Ernest Elrod of Symsonia and Clay Elrod of Ledbetter; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Mohler Elrod, and one sister. His parents were Henry and Lillie Farmer Elrod.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Reidland Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Hatcher and Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
