Charles Poe

Charles Homer (Charlie ) Poe 82, of Paducah passed away at 8:58 am Monday, February 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was retired fro Guy Gray Plumbing and Electrical Supply. He was of the Baptist Faith. Charlie loved golf and was a member of Metropolis Country Club where he served as a board member and was a past President. He was a basketball fan and loved UK. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Linda Ogg Poe. One daughter, Pam Poe Throgmorton ( Jerry ) of West Paducah, one brother George Poe Junior ( Sue ) of Reidland, two grandchildren Jenny Throgmorton King ( Jason ) of Akron, OH. and Charlie Throgmorton ( Jamie ) of Jonesboro, AR and two great grandchildren Bradley and Blake Throgmorton of Jonesboro, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mavis Poe and a sister Shirley Mullen.

Visitation will be held 5pm till 8 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Keeling Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 11, 2016 at 11:00 am with Joel Jackson and Pat Coughlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 am till funeral hour on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to; Women's Golf, The Department of Development, The University of Akron, P.O.
