Charlie E. Baird, 80, of Paducah died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.
Mr. Baird was a retired pharmacist and veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah, a member of the Delta Psi Chapter of ATO at Ole Miss and a member of the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Psi at the UK College of Pharmacy.
Surviving are his wife, Eldonna (Luck) Baird; three sons, Dr. Guy Baird and wife Barbara of Duncan, Okla., and Terry Lee Baird and wife Kelly and Glenn DeMarcus Baird and wife Jennifer, all of Paducah; two daughters, Holly French and husband Kent of Spring, Texas, and Cathy Crayne of Paducah; two brothers, Richard M. Baird of Water Valley, Miss., and Dr. Glenn F. Baird of Florence; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His parents were Dr. Glenn DeMarcus and Laura May Baird.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. W.D. Hensley will officiate, with burial in Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2007, at the funeral home.
