Obituary for Chester "Chet" Willis Leaver
Chester W. "Chet" Leaver, age 86, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 11:45 pm on July 24, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Mishawaka, IN. Mr. Leaver was part of the U.S. Army where he served his Country in Post WWII. While in the Army he earned the title of Golden Gloves Heavy Weight Champion. He worked in the Construction business as a Superintendent. During his time in the construction business he traveled all over the country supervising many industrial sites including, the Chrysler Plant, hospitals, breweries and many more.
Mr. Leaver is survived by two sons, Jeffrey C. Leaver and wife, Martha of Mishawaka, IN, Stephen Ross Leaver of Russellville, AK; two daughters, Pamela Megyeri of Mishawaka, IN, Rebecca Leaver Bobo and husband Danny L. of Sharp, KY; one brother, Huel Leaver of Paducah, KY; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Snodgrass and husband Tim of Paducah, KY, Jason Schaffer of Paducah, KY, Lindsey Sigmin and husband Justin of Paducah, KY, Alex Leaver of Paducah, KY, George Leaver and wife Carrey of MI, Dan Leaver of Mishawaka, IN, Tabitha Leaver of South Bend, IN, Dana Dinger and husband Eric of Mishawaka, IN, Silas Leaver of Russellville, AK, Mitchell Megyeri of Niles, MI; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; the mother of his four children, Imogene Ramey.
Mr. Leaver was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Leaver and Elsie Clark; step-mother, Mattie York; one sister, Lillian Leaver.
A funeral service for Mr. Leaver will be held at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Monahan officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
A visitation for Mr. Leaver will be held at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Also on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
