Dr. Clark B. Hall Sr., 73, of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Lourdes hospital.
Clark was born in Memphis, Tenn. He attended Lambuth College for undergraduate study and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1963. He served as Treasurer of the student body of the University of Tennessee Medical Units in his senior year of Dental School. Clark was licensed to practice in the states of Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, and Kentucky. He practiced in the state of Missouri from 1963 to 1969, when he returned to his hometown of Paducah, and had maintained an active solo practice until his retirement in 1998.
Dr. Hall has been an active member of the American Dental Association since graduation from Dental College in 1963. He was an active member of the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society from 1963 until 1969. He had been an active member of the Kentucky Constituent Dental Association and Southwestern Component Society since coming to Paducah in 1969. He served as Vice-President of the Southwestern Component Society in 1972-73 and as President in 1973-74, and served on several committees in different capacities since that time.
Clark is a Member of the Broadway United Methodist Church. He served on the Board of the Paducah Country Club and was a Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Paducah. Clark was an avid Deer Hunter, Fisherman, Tennis Player and Golfer and in earlier days White Water kayaking and canoeing.
He is survived by his wife, Shelbie Burton Hall of Paducah, Ky.; son, Clark B. Hall Jr. and wife Jennie of Sarasota, Fla.; daughter, Lynne Hall Eckmann and husband David of Lexington, Ky.; stepson, Jeff Brandstetter and wife Gina of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Jill Brandstetter of Louisville, Ky.; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal Bradley Hall and Mary Charlotte Clark Hall.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Joe Beal and Dr. Ben Liles officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
