David Shepherd

April 8, 1964 — January 29, 2011

David Oran Shepherd, 46, of Paducah died Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Paducah, David was born April 8, 1964 to the late James and Anna Walls Shepherd. David served in the Army National Guard, worked as a loader for Sara Lee Corporation and was a contract mail driver for United States Postal Service. He was a member of Heartland Worship Center.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ramona Blair Shepherd; three daughters, Caren Twitty, Cathy Harris and husband Jason and Christy Twitty, all of Paducah; three granddaughters, Ashlee, Natalee and Emilee Harris, all of Paducah; four sisters, Jamie Spiceland and husband Allen and Jackie Hicks and husband Ronnie, both of Paducah, Kaye Kennedy and husband Billy of Heath and Sue Canada and husband Eddie of Kevil; and two brothers, Mike Shepherd and wife Diane of Heath and Lynn Shepherd and wife Melanie of Brookport, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Shepherd.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. John Sams. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be this evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
