Graveside services for Donnie Wheeler Jr., 47, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Brad Henson officiating.
Mr. Wheeler died at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at his home.
Born in Memphis, Tenn., Donnie was a loving father and brother. He was also a wonderful grandfather. Mr. Wheeler was a foreman for National Maintenance. Donnie was a passionate animal activist. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Campbell and her husband, Jack, of Reidland, and Andrea Wheeler and her significant other, Travis Reeder, of Mount Dora, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jaci Raye Reeder of Mount Dora, Fla., and Javen Elizabeth Campbell of Reidland; one brother, John Wheeler of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Diana Connor of Spring, Texas, and Sam Wahl of Paducah; and five nieces and nephews, Penelope Connor and Brandon Connor, both of Spring, Texas, Gary Wahl and Justin Wahl, both of Lutcher, La., and Tara Wahl of Paducah.
Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Mavis Jean Wheeler Sr.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the McCracken County Humane Society, 4000 Coleman Road, Paducah, KY 42001.
