The Rev. Don Cooper, 79, of Paducah died at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Lourdes hospital.
The Rev. Cooper was a retired Baptist minister with 47 years of service and served as pastor to churches in Western Kentucky, West Tennessee and Southern Illinois. He was also a state licensed funeral director in Kentucky.
Surviving are his wife, Reba N. Moore Cooper; one daughter, Brenda West of Cuba; one brother, Clyde Cooper of Paducah; two grandchildren, Shawn West and Shannon West; five great-grandchildren; five stepdaughters; two nieces; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Cooper; one son, Carl Dewayne Cooper; and one brother. His parents were Dorris and Lillian Yancy Cooper.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Howard G. Atkinson and William Strong officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
