Donald L. Taylor, 60, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Paducah, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007.
Donald was born in Paducah on May 12, 1947. He was a 1965 graduate of Brookport High School, Brookport, Ill. He had been a resident of Naples since 1983 and was also a member of North Naples Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Advanced Golf Club Repairs in Naples for many years. Prior to moving to Florida, he was employed as a pipefitter at Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
He is survived by his loving wife and childhood sweetheart, Delores; daughter, Karen (Donald) Labin; son, Anthony (Michelle) Taylor; grandchildren, Toby, Angela, Hope Taylor and Haley Philp; brother, William (Terri) Taylor; and special aunt, Geri Amos.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Amos Taylor and son Timothy L. Taylor.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, from noon to 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 9701 Blandville Road, West Paducah, with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church.
