Dorothy Maupin

MARION, Ind. - Dorothy Laverne Maupin, 80, of Marion, Ind., formerly of Massac County, Ill., died Monday, December 27, 2010, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born in Massac County, Ill., and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Marty T. Maupin and wife, Natalie, of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Taylor and Claire Maupin; four sisters, Alice McGuire, Lois Dowe, Louise Hall and Thelma Cooper; and a brother, Bobby Johnson.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas W. Maupin; three sisters, Geneva Schennman, Josephine Snyder and Helen Thompson; and two brothers, Billy Jean Johnson and Mitchell Johnson. Her parents were John and Lora Anderson Johnson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Monday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Additional services were held in Marion, Ind.
