Dorothea Scheer

Dorothea E. Scheer, 86, of Paducah died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a native of Grahamville, a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Rogers and Donna Pickett, both of Ledbetter, and Sandra Lampkin of Paducah; three sons, Larry Thompson of Boaz, Michael Scheer of Hickory and Mark Scheer of Grand Rivers; two stepsons, Patrick Henry Scheer and Jerry Garrard Scheer, both of Connecticut; three sisters, Louise Abanatha and Pearl Kell, both of Paducah, and Shirley Jones of Tilene; one brother, Paul Faughn of Ledbetter; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Guy Lewis Thompson; her second husband, Charles Henry Scheer; two grandchildren; and one brother. Her parents were Thomas and Ethel Mathis Faughn.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. DeeAnn Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
