Earl A. Cates, 79, of Paducah died Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Margaret Cates; two sons, Kevin Cates of Smithland and Glenn Earl Cates of Paducah; one brother, Edward Cates of Tucson, Ariz.; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Topper Council officiating.
