Ellen Grace Utley, 88, went to her heavenly home Friday morning at 6:47 a.m.
Ellen Grace was a member of the Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Western Baptist Auxiliary, a Kentucky Ambassador, a Kentucky Colonel, a Duchess of Paducah, a Happy Highlanders, a Cumberland Pioneers, a member of Kentucky Lake Retirees Camping Club and a graduate of Tilghman High School.
Survivors include her husband, H.J. "Joe" Utley of 68 years; one foster son, Louis Adams and wife Deena of Memphis, Tenn.; three foster granddaughters, Alicia Downen, Margaret Adams, both of Memphis and Christine Adams of New York; and a host of friends.
Mrs. Utley was preceded in death by one son, Louis Harold Utley; her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Ethridge Mornhinweg; and one brother, Louis Mornhinweg.
Services will be held Monday, March 9, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Kevin Traughber and Terry Vasseur officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family after 11:00 a.m. Monday until service time at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
