Willie Ermon Parker died on November 13, 2008, at age 94 after a courageous battle ending with kidney failure in Paducah.
Ermon was a native of Ballard County, born May 13, 1914, to her late parents, William and Minnie Graves. Ermon and Jesse Edward Parker married April 18, 1936. They shared 43 years of marriage and shared three children. Ermon retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. after 25 years and was a faithful member of Margaret Hank Memorial Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Ermon is survived by three children, Judith Taylor and husband Sandy of Vero Beach, Fla., Janet Cox and husband Jim of Gentry, Ark., and Neal Parker and wife Charry of New Concord, Ky.; three brothers; five sisters; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and her husband, Jesse, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, at the Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Kineman officiating. Burial will follow at the Maplelawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, November 16, 2008, from 5 until 8 p.m.
