Services for Ernest L. Walls, 85, of Paducah will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Broadway Church of Christ with Dan Owen officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Walls died at 10:38 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Western Baptist Hospital.
A native of Graves County, Mr. Walls served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired after 40 years of service with the Peoples First National Bank. Mr. Walls was a faithful member of the Broadway Church of Christ and was a member of the Paducah Lions Club where he served as treasurer and was recognized as Lion of the Year. He also helped establish CSI and served as the first Board Member.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. Walls of Paducah; one daughter, Andrea Walls Myers of Paducah; and four grandchildren, Jason Neelley of Massac County, Ill., Holly Myers of Baltimore, Md., Jennifer Walls of Nashville, Tenn., and Brittany Walls of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Evelyn Walls; three sisters; and two brothers. His parents were Robert Lee Walls and Lillie Harmon Walls.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007, at Broadway Church of Christ. Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
