Gena Slusmeyer Mckay, 45, of Paducah, KY., passed away at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her residence. Gena was a licensed practical nurse for the Jackson Purchase Medical Associates. She was a member of the Salt and Light Community Church. Gena was a graduate of the West Kentucky Technical College and attended Murray State University. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and cross stitching.
Gena is survived by Harry Puffer, her Teacup Yorkie; her mother, Judy Myers Slusmeyer of Paducah, KY ., her brother, Greg Slusmeyer and wife Shauna of Paducah, Ky; her cousin, Dana Tuttle and husband Dr. Fred Tuttle of Owensboro, Ky; her aunt and uncle Jeanie and Mike Soper of LaCenter, Ky; two nieces, Ashleigh Slusmeyer and Alyssa Slusmeyer, both of Paducah, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Wayne McKay; her father, Harry E Slusmeyer, and an aunt, Joyce Slusmeyer.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wdnesday, April 2, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jim Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 p.m until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
