Geneva Lynch Cox, age 90, of Paducah went home to be with her Lord on June 2, 2010, at 4:35 a.m. from the Paducah Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Cox was a native of Shawneetown, Ill. She was a 60-year member of the Clements Street Church of Christ and a retired L.P.N. for Lourdes hospital. After retirement, she continued to lead an active life volunteering at R.S.V.P. and Lourdes hospital, logging in over 2000 volunteer service hours.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Patricia Dubinick of Edwardsville, Ill., and Virginia Cox of Paducah, Ky.; four grandchildren, Dr. Robert Dubinick of Springfield, Mo., Pamela Mashing of Edwardsville, Ill., Kelly Cox of Paducah, Ky., and Laurie Wring of Paducah, Ky.; and seven great-grandchildren, Cody, Hayley and Heidi Mashing, Bridget Dubinick, and Samuel, Mark, and Kolby Wring.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Cox; three brothers and three sisters; and her parents, Collin H. Lynch and Elsie Sauls Lynch.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Wayne Hall officiating.
Friends may visit with the family at the Keeling Family Funeral Home today, Thursday, June 3, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
