Services for Glen W. Taber, 79, of Paducah will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Bishops Erby Reed and Scott Sallee officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Taber died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at Medco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was an engineer for Walker Towing and a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, a U.S. Army veteran, and a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul's for more than 10 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Ann Hill of Owensboro; three sons, Eddie Taber, Ronnie Taber and Gary Taber, all of Paducah; two sisters, Jessy Foster of Jackson, Tenn., and Ginny Tylawsky of Port Charlotte, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Katherine Dell Taber; his second wife, Darlene Siens Taber; and a grandson. His parents were Elderidge and Lilly Maude Curbin Taber.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
