Gregory Allen Shaw, 55, of Paducah died at 7:45 a.m. Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Shaw had attended Paducah Community College and was a graduate of West Kentucky Technical College with a degree in culinary arts. He had been a chef at Jeremiah's restaurant for 26 years. He was a former member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Rochelle Shaw; a son, DeShon Allen Shaw of Paducah; two daughters, Shannon S. Shaw and Tiffany R. Shaw, both of Paducah; his father, James Shaw of Paducah; his stepfather, Ward Miller of Louisville; five sisters, Shonda McGrew of Fort Worth, Texas, Anitha Davis of Metropolis, Ill., and Brenda Cooper, Deborah Shaw and Glenda Shaw, all of Paducah; seven grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Maude Miller.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home. Burial will be at noon Wednesday at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. There will be no formal services.
