Gwendolyn Conway

Gwendolyn Ruth "Gwenie" Conway, age 90, of Paducah passed away Monday at 5:45 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Conway was a native of Paducah and a member of the Broadway Church of Christ. She worked as a receptionist for many years for Dr. Shidal and the Mental Health Department for Lourdes hospital. Mrs. Conway was an exceptional seamstress, cook and gardener and loved spending time with family and friends.

She leaves behind her daughter, Vickye Truman and husband Charles, and son Leon Conway and wife Yvonne, all of the Heath community; one sister, Mary Louise Vick of Paducah; two grandchildren, Audrey Conway, and Scott Brian and wife Pennie, all of Heath; and great-grandson, Hunter Brian of Heath.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Leon Conway Sr.; brother, Charles Tate; and sister, Peggy Tate Shirley. Her parents were Charles Tate Sr. and Mary Lucket Tate.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with Andrew Clausen officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
