Helen Elder, 77, of Calvert City died at 9:16 AM Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Oakview Nursing Home in Calvert City.
Mrs. Elder was of the Baptsit faith.
She is survived by four brothers, Gyster Birdsong of Hopkinsville,KY, Arvel Birdsong of Murray, KY, Everett Birdsong of Cadiz, KY, Ronald Birdsong of Paduca; two sisters, Nell Birdsong of Cadiz, KY, Frances Clark of West Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Corbit Birdsong and Ruth (Dew) Birdsong; one daughter, Tammy Elder; one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Julie McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Cemetery in Paducah.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions made to Lourdes Hospice, PO Box 7100, Paducah, KY 42002-7100.
Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
