BOWLING GREEN - Jackie A. Turner, age 78, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, at his residence.

The Golden Pond, Kentucky, native was born June 13, 1933, to the late Eather Louie and Bell Paulk Turner.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joe Turner; a daughter, Patricia Moore; two sisters and three brothers.

He was a self-employed insurance agent. He was a Baptist and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Violet Leigh Turner of Bowling Green, Kentucky; three daughters, April Edwards and husband Brian, Linda Stockton and husband Chuck, all of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Nita Morgan and her husband Donald of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister, June Hurst of Reidland, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Hailey Edwards and Jessica Brady; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, Kentucky, with burial in Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel in Bowling Green, and from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
