James Kenneth Miller, 59, of Paducah passed away at 4:17 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Jim was a 1968 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and went on to attend Paducah Community College. In the early 1980s he was the owner and operator of Miller-Mayflower Moving and Storage Company. He was employed for eighteen years by J. Patrick Kerr, Architect. He was an avid UK Basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Box Miller; sisters, Donna Russell of Paducah and Sue Roberts and husband, Dick, of Paducah; mother-in-law, Jan Yancey of Paducah; brother-in-law, Eddie Box and wife, Camilla, of Paducah; nephews, John Russell III, Ken Russell, Patrick Kerr Jr. and Gifford Roberts; and nieces, Holly Russell, Melanie Sides and Kelly Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Charlotte Miller.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the McCracken County Humane Society, 4000 Coleman Road, Suite 101, Paducah, KY 42001.
