Jane Jernigan

Jane Jernigan, age 81, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed on March 5, 2023 at residence.

Jane was born June 29, 1941 to the late Stewart Ollie Truitt and Velma Wright Rudolph Truitt.

She was a member of Margaret Hank Memorial Cumberland Presbyterian Church and grew up in the Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  She was past president of the McCracken County Homemaker’s and a member of the Red Hat Society.  She was a teacher’s aid at Cooper Whiteside Elementary School.

Jane Jernigan is survived by two daughters, Vanda Campbell (Darryl) of Orange Beach, Alabama and Vona Adams (Michael) of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother, Troy Truitt of Calvert City, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Hollie Terry (Chris), Heather Hutchison and Megan Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Terry, Corbin Bryson and Arkham Bryson; several cousins, one niece and one nephew.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman “D.J.” Ray Jernigan, and her parents.  

Visitation for Jane Jernigan will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bud Russell officiating with burial in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
