SMITHLAND, Ky. - Services for Jerel D. Anderson, 61, of Smithland will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Todd Dotson officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Anderson died at 9:24 p.m. Thursday at Jewish-Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was a retired boilermaker with local union No. 40, a U.S. Army veteran, a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion, and a member of Purple Heart Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Dee Anderson; one daughter, Gina Marie Little of Smithland; two grandchildren, Karlie Jo Plunkett and Travis Lee Plunkett, both of Smithland; and one brother, Jeff Anderson of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by three brothers. His parents were J.W. "Bo" Anderson and Pauline Baker Anderson.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
