Joan Higgins

Joan Lee Higgins, 85, of Calvert City, passed away at 12:05 am on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Oakview Nursing Home in Calvert City.

In her life, Miss Higgins worked in antique sales and was a member of Rossmoor Community Singers. She was a member of Faith Apostolic Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Lundell and husband Wayne of Apex, North Carolina; one son, Kevin Hennessee and wife Susan of South Lake Tahoe, California; two brothers, Ray Roberts of Paducah, KY, Ronald Roberts and wife Suzy of Calvert City, KY; five grandchildren, Kelly, Connor, Jake and Troy Hennessee, Joshua Lundell.

She was preceded in death by her husabdn, Gary Higgins; parents, Coy and Elizabeth Roberts; one son, Robert Ralph Newell Jr.; sister, Ruby Roberts Biess; two brothers, Bobby Roberts and Jimmy Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paduah with Rev. James Eaves officiating. Burial will follow at Mapleawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
