John Buchanan

John “Pa” Buchanan, 73, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at his residence.

John worked as a repair man in the electronics industry. He was a member of Rosebower Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country in the Vietnam War. Working with electronics was his hobby.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Belynda Buchanan of Paducah; three children, Damon (Dawn) Buchanan of Rolla, MO, Andrew (Heather) Buchanan of Paducah, and Jeremy (Tamaria) Buchanan of Paducah; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and one great-grandbaby on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Norma Buchanan; and two brothers, Frankie Buchanan and Steve Buchanan.

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, in the chapel at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with the Rev. Justin Mason officiating. Entombment will follow.

Friends may visit the family from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home.
