John Lawrence "Larry" Jones Jr., 89, of Paducah died at 6:35 p.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a retired meat cutter and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Marcia Jones Salyers of Virginia; two sons, Lloyd Phillip Jones of North Carolina and Lee Andre Jones of Paducah; one sister, Marie Jones Baggett of Paducah; one brother, Malcolm Jones of Paducah; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John Lawrence Jones Sr. and Clara Moss Jones; and one sister.
Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maplelawn Park Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Lynn Shurley officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association, Kentucky Region, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222.
