John C. Taber, 82, of Paducah died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Taber was former owner of Rack and Cue Pool Room and a plasterer for 17 years. He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Navy WWII veteran.
Mr. Taber is survived by a daughter, Sherrie Lamb and husband J. D. of Possom Trot; a son, Tod A. Taber of Paducah; four nieces, Pat Hooper of Paducah, Pam Cummins of Cordova, Tenn., Dynessa Coburn of Cordova, and Connie Chiodo of Chicago; and one nephew, Robert Childress of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Elizabeth Warren Taber and a sister. His parents were Henry Lee and Mattie H. Walker Taber.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in Maplelawn Park Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Parsons officiating. There will be no visitation.
Pallbearers for Mr. Taber will be Bill Gholson, Larry Heflin, Chuck Adkins, Terry Sloan, Tommy Coley, Teddy Turner, Bruce Hobbs, Terry Duncan, Steve Grubbs, Kenny Culp, Kinney Slaughter, Gary McManas, Steve Sevenski, Mickey Brown, Russell Wagner, Bobby Wagner, and Dennis Jackson.
Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
