GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. - John David Ward, 82, of Gilbertsville died Tuesday in a wreck near Gilbertsville.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a seaman first class.
Surviving are two daughters, Nan Donohoo of Sharpe and Gail B. Ward of Louisville; one sister, Martha Reeves of Gilbertsville; two brothers, Richard Ward of Plymouth, Ind., and Patrick Ward of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers. His parents were Sylvester Ward and Lillian Robertson Ward.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Mike Donald officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Cemetery in Paducah.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
