Joyce Burnett, 60, of Boaz, Ky., passed away Friday, November 12, 2010, at her residence.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ Frazier officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.
Joyce attended the Paducah 1st Church of the Nazarene. She was a former medical transcriptionist and receptionist for Eye Surgery Center of Paducah and a licensed costmetologist. She was also a member of the Lone Oak Lions Club and Paducah Order of the Eastern Star.
Joyce was born May 19, 1950 to Robert and Mary (Williams) Metcalf.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Burnett of Boaz, Ky.; her son, James Robert "Bo" Burnett and daughter-in-law, Jennifer of Boaz, Ky.; two sisters, Bobbie Stafford and Haroldette Byrd; one brother, Mickey Metcalf; and two grandchildren, Austin and Seth Burnett, both of Boaz, Ky.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, James Marion Burnett.
Visitation for Joyce will be held Monday, November 15, 2010, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
