Services for Joyce E. Kersey, 75, of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Revs. Jamie Broome and Blake Kersey will officiate. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Kersey died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
She was a native of Paducah and the retired owner and operator of Kersey's Gallery.
Surviving are one daughter, Karen (Wayne) Ramey of Paducah; two sons, Robert E. (Betty) Kersey Jr. of Paducah and Bruce (Marilyn) Kersey of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Bill McGehee of Paducah and Carl McGehee of Biloxi, Miss.; her grandchildren, Bobby Kersey of Memphis, the Rev. Blake Kersey of Trussville, Ala., Michael Kersey and Leslie Kersey, both of Richmond, and Chris Ramey, Ryan Ramey and Kyle Ramey, all of Paducah; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Ramey of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Robert E. "Bob" Kersey Sr.; one sister, Ruth Thomas; and one brother, Pat McGehee. Her parents were Patrick and Louise Brumfield McGehee.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, and after noon Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at the Immanuel Baptist Church parlor.
