Graveside services for Julia L. Jones Brumgart, 84, formerly of West Paducah, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Maplelawn Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
She was the beloved wife of the late Wayne R. Brumgart.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Mike) Craig of Connecticut, Sarah Brumgart of Texas and Gail (Brian) Grogan of Georgia; her son, John (Patsy) Brumgart of Illinois; her sister, Marie Baggett, and brother, Malcolm (Catherine) Jones of Paducah; grandchildren, Jared (Jennie) Craig of Pennsylvania, Geoffrey (Danielle) Craig of Washington, D.C., and Wayne and Jennifer Brumgart of Illinois; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
She was the daughter of the late John Lawrence Jones Sr. and Clara Moss Jones, and sister of the late John "Larry" Jones Jr.
Julia was a 1944 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High. She went on to receive a degree from The American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and a membership in Mu Phi Epsilon sorority. She was a retired employee of Illinois Bell, taught piano privately and was a member of the Music Teachers National Association.
She loved her hometown of Paducah!
