Larry Garland Baker, age 68, passed away Oct. 1, 2007, at 4 a.m. at his residence. Mr. Baker was a native of Paducah. He was a retired mechanic. He worked for the Colonial Bakery and the Wilbert Vault Plant. He was a member of the Bakery Confectionery Union No. 280.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Tubbs Baker; four sons, Michael Garland Baker and David Glenn Baker, both of Paducah, Joseph Wayne Baker of Nashville, Tenn., and James Alan Baker of Washington; one sister, Neva-Jane Baker Barnard of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Darrin Zachary Baker, Eric Brandon Baker and Taylor Nicole Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer James Baker and Cilval Orlene Crafton Baker; two brothers, Harold Thorpe Baker and Elmer Julian Baker; and two sisters, Frances Dean Baker Canaday and Imogene Baker Karas.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at the Keeling Family Funeral Home, with Dr. Harold Council officiating.
Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007
