Laverne (Sissie) Tucker, age 78 of Paducah, passed away Friday, August 28, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Tucker was a native of Calloway County, Ky., and was a member of the Southland Baptist Temple.
Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Owen (Blue) Tucker. One daughter, Sandy Tucker of Paducah. Two sons, Leonard Tucker (Judy Sledd) of Reidland, Dusty Tucker of Herndon; one brother, Alvin McCuistion of Paducah; two grandchildren, Stacy R. Tucker and Adrianne E. Tucker, and a special family friend, Thomas Dudgeon.
She was preceded in death by her son, Derrill Tucker; two sisters, Mozell Nole and Magdalene Little. Her parents were Leonard McCuistion and Pauline Duncan McCuistion.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008, at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Council officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family today, Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.
