Palmer Lee Copeland, 83, of Paducah, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Lee was born in Paducah on August 8, 1934 to A. Roy Copeland and Marguerite Jane McAllister Copeland. He proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years and was a member of AmericanLegion Post 31. Lee retired from the shipping department of Henry A. Petter after thirty years of employment. He was attending Gospel Mission Church, enjoyed extensive travel with his family and played the guitar as a hobby.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Kathryn Smith Copeland; children, Melody Rix of Folsomdale, Sandy (David) Darnall of Draffenville, Helne (Danny) Walls of Folsomdale, Mark D. (Patty) Copeland of paducah and Mike Copeland of Farley; step children, Nancy Brown of Ft. Walton Beach and Terry (Cammie) Wilford of Lone Oak; sisters, Jo Anne Copeland of Arizona and Dorothy Sue Newton of Florida; ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a step-son, Larry Dale Wilford; step-granddaughter, Tabath Wilford Miller; and his parents.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 1pm Saturday at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Rev. Jim Wright officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11 - 12:30 Saturday at Milner Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
