Leonard Chandler

November 1, 1923 — March 24, 2010

PRINCETON, Ky. - Leonard Edward Chandler, age 86, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 1:55 p.m. at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton, Ky.
Leonard was a member of White Sulphur Baptist Church in Fredonia where he served as a deacon.
He lived most of his life in Ballard County where he farmed for many years.
He belonged to North Ballard Masonic Lodge #537 in Bandana. Leonard was part owner in Word Implement Co. in Barlow, Ky. for several years. He owned and operated Barlow Enterprises in Barlow and Chandler Enterprises in Princeton for several years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was a past member of Board of Directors of Ballard Rural Telephone Co-op.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carma Lee Chandler of Princeton; his special pal Bandit; two stepsons, Kent Jackson of Greenbrier, Tenn. and Brent Jackson of Flower Mound, Texas; two stepgrandchildren, Dylan and Taylor Jackson of Flower Mound, Texas ; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez Fondaw Chandler; one sister, Lula Chandler Holland; seven brothers, Albert, Roy, Pete, Thomas, Paul, Jimmy and Earl; and his parents, William and Lydia Waldrop Chandler.
Funeral Services will be Monday, March 29, at 11:00 a.m. at White Sulphur Baptist Church in Fredonia with the Rev. Don Pippin, Rev. Arnold Puckett and Rev. James Peters. Interment will follow at Maplelawn Cemetery in Paducah.

Visitation was Saturday evening at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Visitation will also be Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at White Sulphur Baptist Church in Fredonia until Funeral time at 11:00 a.m.
Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter is in charge of arrangements.
