Lonnie Albert White, 74, of Paducah, died Friday, April 27, 2007, 1:19 p.m., at Lourdes hospital. Burial will follow at a later date in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
He was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School and West Kentucky Vocational School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Lonnie was a 30 year surgical technician retiree of Lourdes hospital and was also a member of Harrison Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammi (Benjamin) Jones Adams of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Benjamin Adams III, Tyler Adams, Brandi Adams and Brooklyn Adams, all of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Mae Ella Gant of Paducah, Ky.; three brothers, Bobby (Alberta) White and Earl E. (Izell) White Sr., all of Paducah, Ky., and Paul (Merle) White of Long Beach, CA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus White Sr. and Alberta Cooper White; a brother, Gus White Jr.; and three sisters, Ruby White Flowers, Dorothy Lauderdale and Bernice Wilson.
There will be no formal service.
Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
