Marvin J. King Jr., 79, went to his eternal home at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at the Medco Center of Paducah with family at his bedside.
He was an over-the-road truck driver for 45 years with Complete Auto Transit in Ypsilanti, Mich., E.C.R. Inc. in Paducah and retired from Crete Carrier Corp. in Lebanon, Tenn. He was a member of Heritage Bible Church.
He is survived by Eddith King, his wife of 62 years; four children, including three daughters, Cindy Wells and Winston of Whitmore Lake, Mich., Sharon Seivers of Tucson, Ariz. and Jackie Reynolds of Smithland, and one son, Johnny King and Jackie, of Paducah; one sister, Rev. Ora Peck of Paducah; and a cousin, Jack King of Holiday, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin J. King Sr. and Roeann King; and a sister, Ellen Hutson.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today, October 24, 2008, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah.
Services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah with interment to follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Services will be officiated by Rev. Frank Queen
