Obituary for Mary Belle Williams
Mary Belle Williams 95, of Paducah passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Southgate Health Center. Mary was born January 24, 1919 to the late Charles and Love Tidwell Hopson in Calloway County. She was the last survivor of eight children. Mary was a long time member of Bellview Baptist Church. Mary always enjoyed her friends and their many trips together. Above all, her favorite thing in life was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Williams, one son, Gerald Williams and granddaughter, Cindy Williams.
Survivors include three daughters, Jan Creagh and husband Ed of Rock Hill SC, Sherry Fuqua and husband John and Sue Operle and husband Martin both of Paducah, KY; two sons, Walter Williams and wife Ellen of Waterloo, Il and Gary Williams of Paducah, KY; thirteen grandchildren, Lisa Osterhage, Kelly Housman, James Williams, Todd Cain, Amy Shuck, Stephanie Roberts, Seth Lynch, Matt Williams, Hannah Williams, Charles Creagh, Shelly Rheam, Lori Benson and Jeremy Williams; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Mary's family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Superior Care and Southgate Health Center, who cared for Mary with love and compassion, and also to Lourdes Hospice.
