Mary Guerrero

Funeral services for Mary Nell Guerrero, 77, of Paducah will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Fred French officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Ms. Guerrero died Wednesday April 28, 2010, at Parkview Nursing Center in Paducah.
Ms. Guerrero was a long time member of Fountain Avenue Methodist Church, where she dedicated her service through the Naomi Group. She worked with her sister, Shirley Shimkus, at Shirley's Restaurant and Grill in downtown Paducah.
Ms. Guerrero is survived by one daughter, Pam Brigman and husband Tim of Paducah; one son, Greg Guerrero of Paducah; and three sisters, Shirley Shimkus of Paducah, Sue Alexander and husband Charlie of Grand Rivers, and Judy Hayes of Calvert City. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Jay Campbell and wife Michelle of Paducah, Jackie Reid and husband Brad of Benton, Patrick Brigman of Louisville, Brandon Turner of Pennsylvania, and Samantha Guerrero of Paducah. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Ms. Guerrero is preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Guerrero; her parents, Grover and Evelyn James Harvey; and two sisters, Dorothy Lawson and Joan Cook.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. and again on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
